Who We Are
Founded in 2000 by events guru Tim Unes, Event Strategies, Inc. provides cutting-edge event management and production services for clients and events of all types and sizes both in the United States and around the world - from press conferences to corporate conventions, from star-studded product launches to presidential campaigns.
Corporations are beginning to understand that in addition to standard advertising and public relations tactics, event-based communication is becoming the best way to reach people and tell their story. ESI has helped Fortune 500 companies roll out new products, take their marketing shows on the road, and produce events that help brand their products.
ESI has also played a significant role in every US presidential campaign since its founding. In 2016, ESI personnel largely managed and staffed the 130-person operations team for Donald Trump and Mike Pence. Today, ESI alumni hold prominent positions around the globe, notably including the White House Director of Advance and senior officials at a wide array of government agencies.
ESI's unique blend of corporate communications skills and political advance experience serves to inform our approach and generate positive coverage for our clients and events.
Founder / PRESIDENT
Tim Unes, Founder and President of Event Strategies, Inc., is one of the world's leading experts in political advance work and high-profile event management and production.
In 2015, Tim notably produced Donald Trump's campaign announcement tour and helped the campaign establish its operations division and standards. In 2016, he officially joined the Trump campaign as its Deputy Director of Advance. While there, he worked on Trump events and developed and ran Governor Mike Pence's advance operation.
Before forming ESI, Tim worked at Edelman Public Relations Worldwide, where he managed big-budget projects such as the Presidents' Summit for America's Future, an event chaired by General Colin Powell that featured Presidents Clinton, Bush, Carter, and Ford, along with hundreds of other politicians and celebrities.
Earlier in his career, Tim served as the Tour Director for Senator Bob Dole during the 1996 presidential campaign. He traveled with the candidate and was responsible for all aspects of the Senator's advance operation, including oversight of the advance teams and coordination with the Secret Service and media. During the George H. W. Bush Administration, Tim worked as a Lead Advance Representative at the United States Department of Transportation and served as a Presidential and Vice Presidential Advance Representative to President Bush and Vice President Dan Quayle.
